Hi there, forgive me if I'm wrong but did you not say in your last post you was waiting to see a rheumatologist? They will be the people that will hopefully say if you have fibro or not. I am not sure anyone else would give you a diagnosis before then. At least your GP has booked you in to see a rheumatologist which is good. Its just a case of wait and see I'm afraid. It took me 10 years to be diagnosed. Many people get diagnosed faster these days and by their GP

Other symptoms, if you have them, would be helpful to report to your doctors.

Eg,

—post-exertional fatigue: In which it takes far far longer to recover than it ever used to when you were healthy. Or exertion can set off early flareup of all your symptoms

—cognitive changes or mental “fog”; eg, Possible difficulties with memory, organising and planning, decision-making, reasoning cp’d to when you were healthy.

—overall soft tissue pain. Fibro - fibrous or connective tissue, My refers to muscle, Algia - pain; In summary it’s chronic or very frequent pain in your soft tissues.

—Fatigue not resolved by sleep and/or rest.

Is any of that pertinent for you?

Also, I recently saw a rheumatologist (I have a long-standing diagnosis of fibromyalgia but also another autoimmune disease). He updated me and stated that if I only had the fibromyalgia diagnosis I would be going back to the GP and not returning to the rheumatology clinic. Going forward, at least in my district, it sounds like fibromyalgia is now being managed exclusively by GPs. I’m in the north-east.

Each day look for new mercies!
