Hi Jytvc, I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with this horrible condition.
I had to leave work justo over a year ago. I was nursing in a secure environment which involved shift work too. I really do feel for you, colleagues don't understand the depths of the fatigue and don't believe you when you say things like wanting to lie on the floor and sleep because you're so fatigued and the floor looks really comfortable!

I have been fortunate in being awarded PIP , high component for living and mobility and also claim ESA , now in the Support Group. This just about covers the main house hold bills, thankfully my husband has been able to take on the mortgage.
I've just been awarded tier 2 NHS pension (Ill health). There are benefits out there to help. Go to the benefit inforation page on this site which will provide lots of information.
Good luck with every thing, please let us know how how you get on.
Welcoem to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I have pasted you a link below to Janet, who is the FMA UK benefit adviser. It may be worth talking to her about your situation?
