How do you get diagnosed with Fybro?

Hi all reading some of your posts I'm convinced my partner has Fybro. Please can anyone tell me what there first symptoms were and how they got doagnosed?

Hi Kaz There are alot of illnesses that have the same or smiler symptoms to fibro and is often diagnosed by a Rhuamtolagist after lots of test have been done to eliminate any other illness.

First I would like to say your partner is so lucky that you care. I don't really recall my first symptoms, it all happened rather slowly over time and involved many trips to my GP, on one such visit he had a new diagnostic tool all my symptoms were put in and fibro came up, an appointment with the Rheumatologist confirmed it, up until this point I had so many tests ruling out many conditions with similar symptoms so really it is a long process of elimination. That is how it was for me. I do hope you find answers you need . Lou x

Mine were intermittent pain in most of my body and I saw a private consultant and a chiropractor who both wrote to my GP saying Fibro. I want to wish you and your partner all the best of luck.
