Hi sallyanne. They said the sme to me and I put mine in last April I phone them at least once a week and I get the same answer no time limit. So we will be waiting a very long time. It's discusting how they are allowed to treat us. Good luck to you and I hope you hear soon x

I have had my appeal in since June. When I last phoned they said they hadn't got round to looking at it yet! I keep sending copies of every out patient letter and recent prescriptions, all this extra stuff has probably added up to more than the original. They did assure me that they had received everything as I send it by recorded delivery, but could give no timespan on when they would give it any attention.

Has anyone got anywhere with the DWP? They always blame Atos for the delay but I am wondering if it is with them too.

Xx

When I worked for the government and was waiting for Atos involvement over my health/employment problems, my bosses and their staff used to consistently blame Atos for every delay. Turns out (and I saw the documentary evidence), that they were actually really efficient with very quick turnaround, and the incompetence lay at the door of the government department in question. Obviously, this is Atos in a slightly different capacity, so I'm not talking from direct experience, but having seen how frighteningly shambolic these government departments are, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Atos were being blamed for DWPs own failings...just saying, if it happens in one then it could in all?

Personally my take on this is that ATOS and Circo dint know which way is up, and they are so completely useless than one can imagine. I think they should be penalised for all the claims that are waiting more than 2-3months for an answer and even that is being quite lenient. A really big court case for their ineptitude I personally think would and should be the right way to go, just to show how inefficient and corrupt the setup is :-(

The Court sub-contracts to Atos and Serco too - that would be one heck of a can of worms to open heehee! Xx

Oh be quiet you lot! Fo the last hour I've been trying to find this one again to answer properly. I keep getting diverted by rodents, cats horses. . . . . :P :P :P

Now, where was I? Oh yes. is it time for my walk . . .

After all that, I've nothing helpful to contribute However can I offer my sympathy understanding and support. Problems with DWP/ATOS/ etc seem hugely, and wrongly common, considering what we already have to put up with.

GO FOGGY GO :P :P Show 'em your teeth girl.

Mine are already out :P :P

Sadly Gertie is no longer with me! she went to heaven 5 years ago, but I have Mr Benjamin and Poppie and I'm afraid they might just about be capable of licking ATOS to death, not giving them the mauling that Gert would happily have delivered :o :p

Oh, sorry. I hadn't twigged that. I'll bet she's with Jack causing mayhem up above. A good licking can be fate worse than death to some. Want to give it a go? :P :P

Just come off the phone to Atos. Didn't find out much more than before. They are still looking to see whether I need to have an assessment ,as my appeal is I was put into WRAG without any assessment, purely based on my answers on the questionnaire.

He told me I may hear soon, (on the other hand I may not!)

What a complete waste of time, glad it was an 0800 number. :)

I've just sent in my 'renewal' form for my next assessment, I'm in the WRAG at the moment. Does this mean it will be a while before I get my face to face assessment do you think?? Must say I wouldn't mind, I dread that letter and the build up to the date :)
