Hi kaymaes what do you mean by "is that the end" ......I have had my thyroid tested a couple of times and its ok, I trust my doctor, but as for the problems you are still having I'm having too, it's all part and parcel of the fibro, but if you are still unsure then get your doctor to refer you to a fibro specialist so as to put your mind at rest...gentle hugs ...Dee x

Sounds like it may be related to fibro. I had my thyroid checked a number of times this year. One time the reading was borderline hypo, then it returned to normal all by itself. This was during a time when I had a bacterial infection so that would have caused the extra strain on my system. Sadly the pain never went away and I never got better despite the bacterial infection clearing up. If anything things have gotten harder over the last few months, although that could be due to the summer holidays taking their toll and the colder weather approaching.

You need to tell your doctor how you feel but do necessarily attribute it to thyroid (I made the same mistake at first). Have more tests done and ask for a referral to the rheumatologist if the bloods are coming back with not much to show.

A good doctor will do all this. Notice I say good...that is one that understands and believes in the whole fibro/ME area of disability. Ask them what the cause of your problems might be rather than being allowed to fob you off with no reply. Write a list to go through of all your issues and take someone with you as support if you can.

I would also suggest you consider the age of your mattress. An old one will not help your sleep at all. I was sleeping on my old one (12 years), which was a great mattress but had aged badly. I now have my new one (yay) and already feel the difference.
