My ESA cONTRIBUTION BASED ENDS AT THE END OF JULY, CANT CLAIM FOR INCOME BASED BECAUSE MY HUSBAND WORKS FULL-TIME, WHAT CAN I DO?

I am working but I think my working days are numbered. The pain is just too much every day. No flare ups just continually pain every single day.

I was going to apply for ESA but not sure how as my OH works part time, is ESA taken into account your savings and husbands working in other words is it means tested??

My advice to both of you is make an appointment with your local Citizens Advice Bureau for some good advice.

Have you looked at working tax credit?because you are disabled and your husband works you might be entitled.

Hi The contribrution esa is based on your NI contributions, but the income based one is means tested. If your partner earns more than £142 per week, dont think anyone qualifies, which I totally think is wrong. I have applied for DLA, but its called Personnel Independance payments now!!! I gave up working last november. I was working full-time as a nursery nurse, but I started been ill the november 11.....I dont think I will work again, the pain and fatigue is too much.

if your pain as got worse you might want to try to get in the support group,i am at the moment

trying its been 10 months.I tried to get DLA but I was not disable enough.If you are in pain all the time and out of it on pain killers you can work,i would like to see them hold down a job and take the meds we are all on.The thing is if youe doctors like mine he want sign me fit for work so I can't get job seekers and ESA only last a year,what is going on.
