Being referred to gynecological

Hi I've been off my pill for 1 year not and recently discovered I've got a thyroid problem, I haven't had a period for the last year and my doctor put it down to my under active thyroid. But I've been on tablets for 3 month now. In the last year I've had an internal scan to see if I have blockages and I haven't. And he's also done several blood tests and he said my bloods suggest I haven't over lated in the last 12 months. So I just wondering if anyone was in the same situation? And what do I need to expect from my gynecological appointment?
