Endo thickness for fresh transfer - do they measure it?

Hi all, I hope you're doing well.

I had my 2nd embryo transfer yesterday (first fresh transfer) at a private clinic in Prague. My first egg collection and subsequent FET was on the NHS.

I realised after the transfer that they didn't measure the endometrium thickness. Is this normal, because the embryo is going to be transferred on day 5 regardless? Is the lining normally thickened during fresh cycles such that measuring the endo thickness isn't needed? Or did my clinic miss out something important?

They also checked my ovaries which looked just as they did during stimulation. The Dr said the fluid-filled sacs (that look just like follicles) are cysts. I assumed all the fluid would have been aspirated during EC. Is this also normal?

I will also check these queries with my clinic, but wondered if anyone on this forum has any info from personal experience of having a fresh transfer that might help ease my worries X

Hi Janet, thank you so much for your kind reply. I will be sure to take your advice. I'm hoping my clinic will reply to me tomorrow for some reassurance 🤞

in fresh cycles they will check the lining during stimulation particularly on trigger day, and also usually recheck at egg collection. They may not have shared info with you but they should have this data on your file. If they don’t then that is something to complain about.

After egg collection the follicles will usually refill with fluid. It’s why you can feel more uncomfortable after for a while.

Best of luck for your 2WW xx

Hi Endofitall , thank you for the super helpful reply, this puts me at ease a lot! The clinic got back to me saying they measured the endometrium at egg collection, I feel a lot better knowing this. I also realised I was going off the scan print out from ET where the lining doesn't look visible - but hubby reminded me this was an external (not TV) scan so will lack detail - silly me 🙄Thank you so much xxx
