Gonasi dual trigger wait times, I’m confused!

hello everyone! I’d really love your expertise if I may ask for your help.

I had one follicle present 20mm and my Dr gave me gonasi 6000iu on Tuesday 19th March to trigger ovulation and for us to have a go at conceiving naturally. I took Ovitrelle 250mg on Saturday 23rd. Ovulation was confirmed and I was given a second shot of gonasi 2000iu on Tuesday 26th (one week after the original).

I started pregnancy tests on the 29th March with the view to watching the line get fainter so I could then watch for it getting darker if pregnant. It’s Stayed the same for 4 days so I’m really confused as to when I can do a pregnancy test and know it’s not anything to do with HCG drugs.

Please can you help 🙏🏼 xx

Hi there! I have never heard of this kind of treatment, but it sound exciting, supporting your natural ovulation process. Interesting. So I cannot give any advice really as I have no knowledge of this process, but was trying to think of it in relation to our ivf treatment. I had my trigger shot (Zivafert) 10000 IU 25/03. Our egg collection was 27/03. We then waited 5 days while our embryos developed with the embryologists. We had transfer 01/04 (yesterday) and I have been told my test day isn’t until 14/04. Looking online it says HCG medication can take 10ish days to leave your system. So thinking about it, from the day ovulation was confirmed, you might have to wait for embryo development and implantation. So that could be 12 days.

Maybe check with your doctor again this week? It might just be you have to wait a bit longer? Maybe should be able to see something from this weekend or early next week?

I got everything crossed for you and hope this works for you!! Hopefully you will see those positive lines next week!! 🤞💫🧡

Oh goodness, how exciting for you! Please do let me know how things go, and I’m here if you need a friend.

I think if I’d have had the whole set of drugs on the day of trigger one it would be more clear. The first dose, and the ovitrelle should have cleared, it’s that 2000iu of HCG top up that might still be hanging around. I’m two weeks post trigger one now. I tested again today and the line is still the same. I guess all will become clear at some point this week as the line must change darkens or lightness at some point, and/or my period will arrive.

The clinic will say to test on Saturday haha but that seems so far away. That’s 18 days post trigger one and seems a long time… oh well, at least we’ll know for sure by then :) xx

Looking at how they give our dates, I was thinking this weekend too should maybe give you some answers! So hard to wait!! But just got to let the process happen 🥰😇

I got everything crossed for this weekend for you!

Thank you, we only had one embryo to transfer and this is the last round for us, so 🤞🤞 for this little one.
