Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck sourcing Granocyte from a pharmacy in the UK?

Thank you loads 😊

Hi Yellow. I would prefer if this was prescribed for you. My thoughts of course. Good luck. Diane

Thanks a lot Diane, thankfully it is prescribed, I’m just finding it tricky to find a pharmacy that stock it in the UK.

Have you tried Stork?

Yes they were my first port of call, unfortunately they are a no. I’ve tried all the big fertility pharmacy’s, no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though xx

I got it from Stork just a couple of months ago so I'd check that again. The prescription had to come to them from the clinic in Spain but got it no problem, x

Thank you loads, did they just ask for granocyte or did they change the name? They are saying they don’t have it at the moment unfortunately xx

Ah ok I understood that as they didn't do it at all, rather than a stock issue. Sorry, hope you manage to get some. x

Hi, I’ve had to take Granocyte after transfers. We didn’t have the option to source ourselves and we had to buy the entire script in Spain and take home after our transfer x

My local pharmacist would special order it in for me. There are certain brands that are available only in Spain /EU and others that are more readily available in the UK. I think I got around this by getting the prescribing doctor to give a script for generic granocyte rather than a named brand which then allowed the pharmacy to search across their providers to see who had what and at what price.

Thank you so much. Do you know what they called it in the generic script? X

Hi, I think it was granulocyte-colony stimulating factor - filgrastim. This opened it up for the pharmacist to look at Accofil, Neupogen, Nivestim, and Zarzio. I usually ended up with Neupogen or Nivestim. They tended to be the cheapest.

Amazing, thank you so much 😊

hi there, I got Neupogen which is similar I believe from Fertility Medication Centre. It’s a G-CSF so perhaps ask whoever prescribed you if that could work. That’s normally what is prescribed for immune ivf in my understanding.

Thank you so much, I’ll have a look into that xx
