oh so I caved and tested at 8dp5dt so that I had time to come to terms with a negative result and then I got a faint BFP. I was initially so excited but then about 18 hours later( following morning) I tested with morning urine and the line is still so faint and no darker at all 😢
Has anyone had the same and it’s been ok? I’m stupid that I tested early and now feel terrified that it’s going to disappear 😢 xx

Firstly, both tests are positive which is great! Try and wait around 48 hours before you next test to give time for the HCG to go up enough. It is still quite early at day 8 but I think the First Response tests are more sensitive. My lines didn’t really start to get darker until around day 12 onwards.
Try and stay positive. This journey can be filled with worry, so you can’t even take the small victories. Try and wait a bit longer before your next test.
Hi Kitkat. As you have already been advised test again in 48 hours. My test initially did the same but then got darker for a positive so keeping my fingers crossed for you xz
you are not ‘stupid’ at all lovely if you wanted to teat early you can! Test day is just a made up day by your clinic anyways (and it can vary from clinic to clinic) and even after test day lines can go either way be light or dark etc.
These tests aren’t the best for telling anything other than ‘pregnant’ but there is defo lines in both. If you want to see progression I’d try a first response early response. Test as much or as little as you like as to how you want to deal with it but the good news is there is defo HCG going on in there so that’s the first step 🤞🏽🫶🏻 hoping those tests get darker 🤗💜 xx
As everyone else has said those tests aren’t great for showing any progression, I never really got any dark lines on those ones. Definitely try a first response 👍🏻
These are still positive results! I did this too on 8dpt and the standard test strips showed so faint i really had to squint to see it. I used a clear blue early response test the next day (first wee of the day) and have a dark line on that! Good luck!
they are positive! And that’s what counts. My line on day 8 was fainter than on day 7, I was sure it was another chemical and had a meltdown - but everything was fine, your urine concentration changes . Give it a couple of days 🤞💪 x
thank you McQueeny, this was today , 11dp5dt which is a bit darker but I still fear it’s too light. My tests from my son were dark from day 10 but he was a fresh and this was a FET so I’m praying the hcg levels are just a little behind 🙏 thank you for your kind words x
Every pregnancy is different and FET and fresh are, as you say, different too. Frozen can take a little longer. All the best, hoping it goes well from here 💪 xx
8 days is still extremely early, so it’s right that it is faint. the lines should start to get darker every 2-3 days. Here is mine, first one was day 8, middle day day 10 and bottom day 12. Hope this helps. Stay positive! If it was negative it wouldn’t have anything.
ah thank you, that makes me feel better. Mine at day 10 was a bit stronger but still fainter than control line and then day 12 was as strong and then day 13 stronger than control line and then I decided to stop testing and try and be more sane 😂😂
Viability scan in 3 days 🤞🤞🤞 so now I’m panicking about that instead. Thank you so much for your reply, and good luck, hope everything goes smoothly x
