We're gearing up for another FET (we've got one PGT-A tested embryo left). If it doesn't work, we've decided that we will do another round of egg collection. My husband has high DNA fragmentation and whilst I've had good egg numbers and fertilisation rate, we've only had one euploid embryo from each of the two previous rounds we've done. To make sure we're in the best possible position, I'm keen that he starts on some supplements now in case we need to do a new round at the beginning of next year. Any thoughts on any supplements he can take that are specific to improving DNA fragmentation (all other sperm parameters were fine)? (We had IMSI both times, which I think really gave us the best chance).

Hi Simmokt, there are 3 main ones which are ‘higher level’ supplements. Not designed specifically for DNA frag (nothing is) but may help.
They are Proxeed, Impryl or Proceieve.

You could also ask your clinic if they can suggest any supplements, they think would be helpful

Hello Simmokt, my partner had high DNA fragmentation when he was tested so our consultant recommended the following supplements for him: 10mg Lycopene, Vit D 2000 iU, Selenium + Zinc, Wellman. He was also recommended to avoid cycling, wearing tight clothes and hot water baths (anything that could raise the temperature around his testicles), no red meat either. After his DNA fragmentation results our consultant also switched her recommendation from IMSI to PIMSI (which is a combination of PICSI and IMSI, sperm is being selected by adding hyaluronan to the dish expecting that only structurally sound, i.e. chromosomally normal, sperm bind to this substance, increasing your chances of fertilisation and healthy embryo development). Wishing you the best of luck!
