I just want to talk to some ladies that understand. I am just sooo fed up with how long everything takes to get started! I had my FET last week and my OTD isn't until next week (currently 8dp5d) but I've had all negatives so far and I've been here enough times before to know that we're very unlikely to get a BFP now.
It's weird though because in my mind I've already moved on to the next one, has anyone felt like that? I've already contacted my clinic to ask if I can have a transfer before Christmas and been told that there won't be time 😞. I just feel like IVF takes up so much of my brain space and I want to get on with it!
Sorry for the rant, I just needed to get it out! My husband is sick of hearing it 😂 .

Sorry to hear what youre going through. I'm in a similar position, I'm 10dp5dt, got a BFN on 8dp5dt...plan to test again on my OTD which is Thursday but pretty sure I'm out.
Gutted that because of Christmas, I'm probably looking at FET being next Jan or Feb...feels like it's ages away
Sorry to hear that you're in the same position, it's so tough isn't it. When I spoke to the clinic yesterday they said that I might be able to start the medication in December with the view to transfer in January. Will you be having a FET or another cycle? I find this part really annoying when you know that more than likely it's a real BFN but you have to keep taking the medication for another week! Have you had many transfers before? Sending you hugs xxx
sorry to hear that. I feel the same way as otd Tuesday but no symptoms at all and pretty sure it’ll be a negative and it was a double so two gone :(.
I’ve already told my clinic I want to do a transfer before Xmas and I have ordered the prescription, as should I get a positive I’ll need those drugs anyway. If you’re doing a medicated fet without norethisterone then there is enough time before Xmas, I swapped to this short protocol recently as long protocol with norethisterone takes a month or so longer x

We use the same clinic so I think I'll email them again today as yesterday the nurse was quite unhelpful and told me it's too early to test when I know it's almost certainly a BFN. Did you find it easy to persuade them to not use norethiserone? They never give me any suggestions, it's so frustrating! x
Oh yes I forgot were at the same clinic. Yes it was easy to persuade my consultant, but it was agreed during my consultation appt so I guess the nurses wouldn’t agree it without talking to your Dr first. My consultant just said I’ll put that in place so it must have been on my notes for the nurses to action.
I’ve worked out that if I go off my withdrawal bleed (estimated to come 12/13th November) then my next transfer would be 1/2nd December so I would have the outcome by mid December xx
how are you feeling today? It must be getting close to your OTD? I hope you're ok.
I've just emailed the clinic about best steps and asked whether I can go ahead without the norethisterone and whether I can use viagra. Did you use it for a thin lining or another reason? I've used it orally and it didn't make any difference but vaginally it may be better 🤷🏼♀️ X
Hi Pebbles, OTD is tomorrow but not holding out much hope due to zero symptoms - I’ve always had symptoms with my natural pregnancies and the chemical so see know reason for that not to be the same. When is your OTD?
Fingers crossed the clinic let you go ahead on the short protocol, let me know what they say. I used viagra vaginally for a thin lining only. When you used it orally, was that for thin lining or another reason? What thickness was your lining this cycle and was it based on anything other than 4x progynova? Mine got to 7.4mm this time with 4x progynova and 4x viagra but I’d have liked it to be thicker so may ask for extra things. At least I wasn’t delayed for an extra week this time I suppose! x
I know what you mean, you just have that feeling don't you?! I hope it turns out to be wrong for you and you magically get a BFP.
My test day isn't until Saturday but I've taken loads of tests now and they are all negative so I really don't imagine that will change!
My lining is always very thin (less than 7) so I'll try anything to try and improve it! The viagra was just for lining last time but did nothing at all. So frustrating!
Yes you just have a hunch don't you and my hunches aren't often wrong sadly. Sorry its negative up to now.
Do they usually transfer on a lining less than 7mm for you then? What is your protocol usually then? 4x progynova or other things like patches? I've heard viagra does nothing for some, as they said we can try this but it might not work, lucky for me it did as it would have been cancelled otherwise. I wonder if i could ask for 5 x progynova next time and patches as well as viagra.
Maybe you should consider a natural FET as the lining is supposed to be much better in those. I can't as I'm matching my ERA results, but I have been tempted by a natural even so. x
yes, we had our little boy on a 6.8 lining. Annoyingly we can't go for a natural cycle as my periods are irregular so we can't do that. When I've had scans on my lining without medication it's been just as thin! Nightmare 🤦♀️. I take 4 x progynova and a patch every 24 hours. The scratch has helped me too. I just find it all so bloody stressful before I've even transferred!!
I hope you can get going asap with your next cycle without any hiccups (if this one doesn't work out of course!) x
Thanks for the info. I am reluctant to go for a natural FET too as it opens up more variables and I just feel the medicated has more knowns, even though the lining thinness isn't perfect and was better for a natural with me (I only had one though back in Jan 2021) . I might ask to add in patches with the 4 x progynova and viagra this time just to try to up the lining a bit from 7.4mm. Although they said 7.4mm is fine. It sure is extra worries that others don't have to deal with before we've even transferred.
It didn't work as expected so clinic is organising meds for my next one now. Just waiting for my withdrawal bleed and go in for the day 2/3 scan. No rest for the wicked! xx
sorry to hear that it didn't work this time. No matter how much we prepare for it, its still so hard. I sat in a work toilet cubicle today and had a cry. I've not done that in ages and when I do it's always about IVF.
I would say on my OTD I tested and it was such a faint line. I don't think anything would show earlier. I was very strict keeping to OTD. Fingers crossed you aren't out yet.
congratulations on your BFP! That's wonderful news ❤️. Did you test before 11 days? I just have a real feeling this time hasn't worked for us as I know from my experience last time that I felt quite different when I got a BFP. We'll just have to wait and see ☺️ xx
Hey. I’m lucky to be through the other side now but I remember being in the 2 week wait and having frustrated conversations with my partner about how he needed to do more as I felt I was the one making all the changes… e.g. what he could do to improve health for a natural pregnancy… so I had definitely moved on thinking this one hadn’t worked. It’s probably only natural and a defence in expecting the worse. Don’t worry too much it won’t be long until the day comes round.
