I caved and tested this morning 🙈 I got faint positives on first response and clear blue (not digital). I’ve been on google (of course bad idea!) and now I’m worried it could still be the trigger shots? - I had my trigger 2 weeks ago today. Is it possible for the trigger to still be in my system? Or it this a genuine BFP? Worried I’ve got my hopes up now wish I had waited 🤪

Thanks, I really hope so 🤞🏼 Do you know how long it usually takes for the trigger to go out your system? X

Hi lovely, The trigger shot should be out now and you definitely have lines 🥳 I would do another test in a couple of days to make sure they are getting darker so quiet congrats xxx

Thanks! 🤞🏼 My OTD is Wednesday so I think I’ll wait to test again until Monday, then of course on Wednesday x

Its certainly a positive test! But very hard to know at this stage yet. Its so early. Give yourself a day or two off from the testing. Be cautiously content for a few days and test again after the weekend. I know its hard but just take it easy. If is it positive for pregnancy reasons, the embryo is busy snuggling down right now so try and relax and give it a good shot at the nest building! Keep the faith up. This could certainly be your moment. Time will tell in a few days.

Thanks I really hope this it! I got excited and thought oh it could still be the trigger shot two weeks later 🤦🏽‍♀️🙈

in my last fresh round I tested out the trigger (something I promised myself I wouldn’t do, then did it as some form of masochism) - by day 7 the line was almost invisible, and completely gone by day 8. So I think this is most likely a BFP! As everyone says, give it a couple of days and test again, but quiet and cautious congrats ☺️ Xx

Thanks! Do you mean it was gone post trigger date or post transfer date? X

McQueeny profile image
McQueeny in reply to PrincessGurn1984

post transfer date. So about 13-14 days post trigger. But it was soooo faint by then, a real squinter! x

PrincessGurn1984 in reply to McQueeny

That’s really useful to know thanks! So this could still be trigger shot x

McQueeny profile image
McQueeny in reply to PrincessGurn1984

it technically could - but I do think it’s unlikely… see in a couple of days and then you’ll be sure! 🤞xx

what dose of trigger did you have? Xx

PrincessGurn1984 profile image
PrincessGurn1984 in reply to Millbanks

10,000 Gonasi with 1mg suprecur x

Millbanks in reply to PrincessGurn1984

so they say that the dosage halves every day in your system so you should be able to figure out how much is left.

First response pick up 6nmol hcg so it really does have to be all out.

having said that, your lines are quite strong for 7dp!

Everything crossed!! Xxx

Thanks so essentially all my trigger should have been out my system tuesday just gone? I assume as I triggered on the Saturday I start counting from the Sunday as day 1? X

yes I think so 👍🏼💖

the only way you’ll know is if/when you test in 48 hours’ time to see if it’s darker.

Crossing everything for you xx

the trigger can stay for up to 2 weeks and I would never want to give you false hope but they look quite strong to be the trigger at 14 days as it’s normally all but gone by that stage. These look more like what my actual positives were at that stage! I would say give it 48 hours to be sure but I do think you have reason for some hope there lovely 😊 xxxxx

I caved and tested again this morning, think I’m addicted now 🙈😂 it’s got darker and I got a digital positive but I know it could still be the trigger so know I can only take the official test day result xx

I think you are VERY pregnant 🥰🥳 no way the trigger would say 2-3weeks by this point!!! Delighted and over the moon for you xxxxxxxxxxxx

Eeek I hope it stays like this, I can’t quite believe this is happening 🥹 I’m ‘due’ on my period tomorrow if I was in normal cycle and OTD is Wednesday. Do you think my period will be kept at bay not only by the progesterone I’m taking but will my body have started to produce progesterone naturally by now? I’m worried the medication might not be enough to ward off my period? X

Twiglet2 profile image
Twiglet2 in reply to PrincessGurn1984

that’s the idea your period comes when your hormones drop so now both your body and your own meds will be working hard to support the pregnancy 😘 I know it’s hard and I really struggled at this point but try not to overthink it lovely 🤗 you are doing everything right xxxxx

PrincessGurn1984 profile image
PrincessGurn1984 in reply to Twiglet2

It’s hard to trust the meds isn’t it at this point, trusting them to support it at the right level 🙈 got to rely on the process! X

You're definitely pregnant! Congratulations. Both those lines are stronger than my ivf pregnancy and my natural pregnancy. And the fact you even got 2-3 on a digital, there's no way thats the trigger. Ive never actually known anyone who got a bfp after ivf to not have been pregnant and being caused by the trigger. I know its hard to get excited until the clinic confirms it, i was the same. And then you'll be anxiously in the 3 week wait til your first scan! Huge congratulations x
