Hey my lovely ladies, hope you are all well!

After my last failed pregnancy doc mentioned something about blood types etc but did not get in many details and said we will discuss it nearer the time for my next FET. And of course as a busy bee I've been googling and googling and googling... 😁🤣

i can see that this shot is given to negative mums, with positive dads but from 28 weeks onwards. As I'm Oh negative , and hubby is Ab positive I'll ask doc if this injection is given preventative with IVF transfers sometimes .

Just wondered if anyone has any experience with this and can shed some light 😁🙈🥰

Sending love, kisses, smiles and positivity to you all 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️🍀🍀🍀🤞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Generally the check is done once you are pregnant to see if you are producing anti bodies because you are negative and the baby is positive. Then the injection is given around the 27 weeks.

In the case of a second pregnancy the anti bodies already exist in the moms body and then the injection may be given earlier. This is from the experience of one of my aunts who was o negative as well.

The above checks I mentioned are for rhesus d. In Netherlands the also check rhesus c negative but there is no injection for this just more monitoring. I have rhesus c negative and have more checkups starting 24 weeks.

Hope this helps. There is not a lot on google for this. 🤞🏼

Thank you very much for your reply. I did read is given further in the pregnancy but just was curious if it's given as a prevention too for example before FET after multiple losses. The thing is with multiple losses not knowing the reason is so frustrating. So I'm clinging to every little thing that might be causing a problem. If they could only know what causes all the losses would been easier 🙈🙈🙈 but not knowing is so annoying 🙈❤️🥰

Congratulations on your pregnancy and hope next few months are smooth and uneventful, full of happiness and excitement 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️🍀🍀🍀🍀🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

I completely understand your state of mind. Every step is difficult and we have to analyse every change to understand what we can do different. It is not an easy journey but hang in there and this will be your lucky time. You can test if you already have the antibodies because of the previous pregnancies. Check if the clinic will do that.

You were there when I was going through this alone in Prague fretting every day and worried even to get back on the return flight after transfer. My pregnancy has been smooth so far, after the initial weeks of some spotting and bleeding.🤞

You can always reach out to me for anything and my prayers and heart are with you for a success this time. Wishing you the best. 😘♥️🌈🍀

Ahhh you’re rhesus negative. Gosh I wonder if that’s been having an effect the whole time? It would be wonderful and awful at the same time to know that wouldn’t it! I’m rhesus positive so I knew I wasn’t at risk. I did think my mum is rhesus negative but she managed all of us (3 of us) with no mcs. So I guess it doesn’t happen for everyone but yes, I wonder if that is an issue before you get to 28 weeks.

It would be amazing if this is the problem, hahaha I mean not amazing but good to know. I've been always thinking knowing what the problem is makes it easier to work towards success. Let's see what happens this time 🙈🙈🙈😁😁😁😁Hope you are well and enjoying life with your little bundle of joy 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

I am rhesus negative (my blood group is A negative, not sure of husband and they have never asked him to find out) and had an anti d shot in my first pregnancy at 28 weeks and I would have had another after birth if baby had positive blood group (she was negative so was not needed)I had a loss last year at 8 weeks (I had bleeding from 5 weeks, I asked for anti d shot but was told it wasn't needed before 12 weeks, I was given the shot straight after surgical management.

During my current pregnancy I had bleeding from 10 weeks but they wouldn't let me have the anti d until after 12 weeks as I was told again it was not required, I had it as soon as I got to 12 weeks as I was still bleeding. I will also have to have it again if I have any more bleeding and at 28 weeks.

I'm sorry I can't really shed any light on your situation but just thought I would share my experience

Thank you ever so much for sharing. That's what I wanted really, people sharing experiences so I can get to understand it better. Hope you don't have anymore bleeding and the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful and enjoyable 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞🍀🍀🍀❤️❤️❤️
