Bleeding after viability scan

Hi all,

I’m not really expecting any replies to this as there’s nothing anyone can do but I just needed to vent a bit…

Had my 6 week viability scan on Friday and all was good. Had a small bleed last week so I just couldn’t believe how lucky we were to see the heartbeat. Could we be so lucky? Amazing!!

But today I have started full on bleeding with lots of blood clots so I just feel like there’s no way this pregnancy can survive, I am sure I’m having a miscarriage again.

Nothing I can do today but I will phone my clinic in the morning. I don’t want to because I know that I will get bad news but I have to… I just hate hearing those words “I’m sorry” 😢😢😢

💔💔💔

Hi! I am really sorry you're going though this😔All I can say is try to believe in your embryo until proven it is over. I know it is hard every time you see blood... hopefully the bleeding is around the sack and everything will be alright in the end. I did read your profile and you've had such an Ivf journey. It can't be easy... Sending you hugs and 🙏🏼🤞I hope everything will be alright in the end. xxx

Sending you hope & positive vibes, I have heard of women having big bleeds and everything has been ok Best to have a scan to check out what’s going on. Everything crossed for you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻Sorry that you’ve had a miscarriage before, infertility is so cruel and hard. Hopefully this time is different. Xxx

Hi lovely, I’m sorry to hear about your bleed.

It’s so stressful and terrifying isn’t it.

I had a bleed at 17 weeks that was caused by a subchorionic haematoma inside the uterus. The baby was fine but I bled for 3 weeks…

Fingers crossed it’s just something like this xx

Bleeding is always so stressful, especially after having already experienced loss, and I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I hope you manage to get in touch with your clinic early today and fingers crossed you can get a scan to check everything out. Haematomas are super common in the first trimester and are scary but can resolve themselves. Good luck for today 🤞 xx

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I know exactly how stressful it is. I bled with clots at week 5, before I even heard a heartbeat. It turned out to be a hematoma, doctor had me stop blood thinners and pregnancy continued. Sending you lots of positivity! Wishing you all the best and hopefully you will hear some reassuring words on your next appointment.
