So after a very anxious 10 days, we got a positive pregnancy test!! β¨β¨
This is our third IVF transfer and this time I've been having immune treatment and different Progesterone.
I'm late in writing this as had a three hour drive for an Intralipid today and all seems surreal!
We have had heartache before but I don't want fear to rule me.
What make this special.is that my frozen embryo (who we call Frostie) was meant to be due on this very day. So it was going to be a tough day... Now we feel like they're willing us on. π
Thank you for all your support and advice. You are all superstars.

Thank you so much! It was you who recommended the lovely Epsom clinic to me and I am really hoping thay was the missing piece of the jigsaw. The nurses were so lovely and cheerful today which I needed! Thank you so much. Xx π
Congratulations! So lovely to hear. I also just got a long awaited bfp after first time on intralipids. Did you take steroids also? I was only given infusions so I was nervous but I canβt help thinking itβs what made the difference for us. Crossing fingers for you at every step xx
Thank you and congratulations to you too! I'm not on Steroids but I'm also on Hydroxychloroquine, Asprin and Fragmin. Really hope it does the trick. Xx
Congratulations, I'm so happy for you!Your message also gives me hope.
I've just tested today and had my third BFN.
We're looking at immune issues, and I would love to hear your story and also details of how you got there with regards to immune tests and treatment.
I tested positive to ANA antibodies after pushing for the tests, but my clinic thinks this field is unproven and is very reluctant to order further tests, and give steroids. I feel like I'm in a battle.
I'm crossing my fingers for you, and hope all goes well π€.
My Ivf clinic don't really believe in immune treatment but I was recommended by a lady on here to a miscarriage clinic.
They did a whole range of tests which showed I had active NK cells and thyroid antibodies so I needed treatment to calm down my immune system / imflamation.
Six wks before transfer I started taking hydroxychloroquine and Aspirin. One week before transfer I did an Intralipid and then I started taking Fragmin from transfer onwards. And I will need regular Intralipids.
Really π it all works and little bean stays. Xxx
Thank you for sharing π. I didn't know it was possible to get immune treatment elsewhere while continuing with your regular clinic, so that's good to know. I'm sending you lots of positive vibes! Xxx
Thank you so much. π Yes I was very nervous asking my IVF clinic if they were happy for me to work with another clinic too, but they were happy to. I just had to send them my results and my treatment plan so they were aware of all meds I was on.
Wishing you lots of luck and strength. I hope you are being well looked after Xx
Hi, congratulations!!! May I please ask you what test did they do for you to know you need an immune treatment? Which blood test parameters show this? I am looking to do such test when I go back to my country just in case. Thank you and happy pregnancy π
Thank you so much. π. I had 15 vials of blood taken and they tested for all sorts of things including NK cells, blood clotting, thyroid etc, essentially anything they believe will cause miscarriages.
I also read the book 'Is your body Baby Friendly?' and that contains alot of info. on the recommended different tests and gave me a lot of hope.
Naturally it's very early days but really hoping this is the missing piece of the jigsaw I needed. π Xx
