My partner and I are both 44 and after all our investigations we have been told our options only extend to donor eggs due to poor reserve. We are struggling to get our heads around the amount of clinics listed on the HFEA website. Can anyone offer any insight or advice? For instance, should location be a primary factor in choosing the clinic? We are in the north east but would be happy to travel around the country for the right place. Any advice around the donor egg route would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi, Have a look on “natural ivf” and “ modified ivf” some clinics specialised on low AMH, in which is not about quantity but quality. So it is mild stimulation. My friend is 45 and got pregnant with this type of ivf.
I am in one in Manchester. Super nice. Pm if you want more details.
I forgot to mention about travelling…. Think careful about it… because I have to drive 1.5 hours for every scan, every check up, blood test, etc and sometimes that month is not the right one , it is the next one… meaning to do all over again… and to be honest is very tiring
We did donor egg treatment in Czech Republic and now have twins.
We went there because it was much faster (no waiting list) and cheaper (€5000 plus your medication for all of the donor's eggs).
Donor egg treatment doesn't require as many check ups from you. My partner just had to be there for the donor's retrieval (or can go before and freeze his sperm) and me five days later for transfer. I used a local company to have a scan for lining check.
If you have any questions or want more information about the clinic, drop me a DM.
