I posted here a few days ago and got some really useful advice on dna frag but I’ve since then got hold of a copy of our results and just wondered if anyone had any thoughts
We are currently in the middle of icsi - we have had supposedly 5 top grade day 5 blastocysts but so far two have failed to implant
My husbands dna frag test has just come back with an average of 36% - which is bad news but does anyone know how bad? Will this likely mean our other two embryos are no good as well?
Any help much appreciated am going out of my mind with worry x

Hi lovely, I hope you don’t mind me responding to this thread as well!I just reviewed my notes and our doctor said we ideally want a score below 30 for best IVF results and below 25 if we wanted to try to conceive naturally. So you’re not very far off. 😌
The fact that you got five blasts is hugely reassuring. High fragmentation can often lead to arrested embryo development after day 3, so the fact that so many made it to day 5 is a really good sign. The failure for the first two to implant could just be down to luck. Don’t count those other two blasts out yet!
Women’s eggs have the (rather miraculous) ability to fix a certain level of sperm dna damage, so it may be that your eggs did some heavy lifting 💪🏻 and fixed the little swimmers.
If you can, give your mind a rest. There are still lots of chances for success xx
