Hi all, my partner and I had our first PGD appointment a week before lockdown, and had bloods taken for DNA sampling in June. The fertility clinic (Edinburgh) we will be using are saying that they are not starting PGD IVF at this moment in time. Although our blood work will take a few months, I fear that due to lockdown and waiting lists, we could be well over a year before we have our initial fertility clinic consultation. It may sound selfish but I just want to know what's going on. It's all I think about. Are there any PGD support groups in Fife/Scotland, specifically? Is there anyone out there with a PGD appointment rescheduled? Any information at all would be much appreciated, there doesn't seem to be much out there specifically for PGD...

Hey lovely, I don’t have any advice on timings but all I can say is stay strong! It’s a long process but it will be worth it! I have just got my first round of PGD results so here if you want to chat anything through! Good luck to you both and I hope things started moving soon! X
Thank you Walton776, I'm just finding it incredibly frustrating. The only positive thing is that it gives me time to reduce my BMI and be in the best health I can be (covid-19 & working from home has caused my BMI to jump over the limit for my height!). I hope your PGD journey is successful x
I am sorry to know you are going through this. You might want to check out IVF clinics in Europe. A few friends of mine underwent PGS NGS in one of the best clinics in Poland, Inv***cta, and paid EUR5,500 for IVF PGS NGS. No wating list and English speaking staff. All the best on your journey
I did PGS on a cycle last year - I found some of the Facebook groups helpful although most of the members are from America so not necessarily your clinic as it’s much more common out there but they tend to be much more knowledgeable
