So ladies, today i am 9dp5dt. I caved in and tested yesterday because i was so sure this transfer didn't work. On the day of the transfer i had a cold which progressively got worse. So i honestly thought i was out. When i saw the second line pop up (it popped up after a minute, not straight away), shocked was not even the word. I started crying my eyes out, because i have never been pregnant before, and this is such a big milestone for me. I didn't think my body could fall pregnant.
Anyway, i did another test 12 hours later, which was this morning at 4am and it might be looking a tad lighter? It should be getting darker, and that's what i was expecting. The top test is 8dpt and bottom one today morning. I have read stories where womens test don't get darker, resulting in a chemical. Been feeling so bummed out since this morning. From the high i've been feeling, i've crashed straight down in 12 hours. i'm 9dpt so surely i should be getting a darker line??

Definitely looks positive on both to me! I found my tests were stronger when they weren’t first thing in the morning so don’t stress too much about that stuff. The line will most likely get darker within a day or two.
Thank you, it was slightly darker when i tested again just now. I always thought you get a positive, and then thats it, you just relax and know it's finally happened. But nope! It's just worry after worry! x
Thanks hun, i will be getting a first response tomorrow, and will be testing with FR tomorrow. I did test again just now and the test was slightly darker x
Don't stress too much about the darkness of the lines, it's enough to drive you crazy. If I were you I'd now just wait until test day and do a first response, or you'll give yourself funny eyes and possibly put yourself through emotions that you don't need to. Congratulations 😊❤️ xxx
i never thought i would be stressing, but gosh what a rollercoaster this is. My husband's telling me i'm being silly, which i probably am. I don't think i'll be able to wait until test day to test again, test day is still 6 days away! My clinic like to give an OTD later than most clinics to really make sure - and to stop people stressing over faint lines like i am! I should've behaved myself and waited. I was initially planning to test again tomorrow, but i think i'll give it a couple more days yet to test again x
I’m the same way. I’m like “omg. It doesn’t look darker. Is it lighter?” But then I compare it to one 36-48 hrs before and I feel relieved. Space out tests or only compare every other day or so
Yes, same ! Lol. I have been getting slightly darker tests, but when i compare the last one i did to the one i did 48 hours ago, it's significantly darker. I don't think the worry ever ends! Hoping the best for you x
My lines got lighter every time I tested (about every 3 days because I was obsessed lol) but every blood test was showing doubling numbers! I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and the stress doesn't end. But I can tell you from experience not to obsess over the color of the lines!! Congrats and best of luck Xx
Mine never got darker even 3 weeks after transfer and I have a beautiful 11 month old so please dont read too much into it.... wait for your otd and go from there my lovely xxx congratulations xxx
I am in the same situation , I been trying now for 20 years , 1 am 45
Done my test on the right day a faint plane today done a clear blue says pregant 1/2 which is 3/4 weeks on the chart , had a fet cycle , still worrying but trying to stay strong , had a little brown discharge , yesterday ,

,I am sure your going to be fine because u had such a early positive fingers crossed for us both 😘😘😘
That's great hun. A line is still a line. When i got my faint line, i was still so relieved because it means there's still a pregnancy there. And as long as there's a line, there's always hope. It's just so hard not to stress though! I can't help myself from worrying either.
Have you tried seeing your gp? Maybe your gp surgery could supply you with some until your clinic opens.
The first test would be darker due to the evaporation factor of waiting a day to compare it to a second test. If the second test is now well dried you might compare them again. But regardless, you’re testing at the very beginning of when these tests claim to be accurate. There’s a second line there no doubt. That’s very significant and I hope it brings you joy!
Now for the stuff the makers of pregnancy tests don’t tell you: when first response claims that it is 99% accurate on the first day of your missed period, the group they derived that data from were women in their reproductive prime with zero infertility factors. Women who fall outside of that group will get different results. I had a pcos client who didn’t test positive until 5 days after her missed first day. I contacted First Response directly, and when their telephone advisor could not answer my questions, about a month later I received an email confirming what I stated above. So... pregnancy tests are suggestive for women who are struggling with infertility, but you might have to wait longer to get a strong positive. Good luck!
Thank you for that info. I have heard of women getting positives later too, and i've never really thought about the statistics until now. I guess us women with fertility issues are on a different spectrum. I have tested today and the test is a lot darker today, but not as dark as the control line. So that's progress i guess, as long as the line is getting darker.
