Effects of Transfer of two embryos

Hi all, I am a silent member here my sister introduced me to this page and it has been very helpful . I have a question to ask please ? The picture above is my day 10 of stimulation. Does transferring two bring about Ohss. I was told the reason why they can’t transfer a double embryo becos they want to avoid a late onset of hyper stimulation syndrome.

Hey there! You have a nice amount of follicles and so could be at risk of late onset OHSS. The risks are higher with double transfer because if both implant your hcg may be higher, increasing the risk. Xx

Hi Sucre1705 , It’s my first time hearing that double transfer could increase the risk of Ohss. I hope to learn more about this👍....

Just thinking but people transfer multiple and still become successful.

Hi I had a double embryo transfer and I have my 7 week scan tomorrow. Still don't know if both took, i will tomorrow I suppose. My clinic deemed me very low risk OHSS, but I think that was for early. I only had 5 eggs collected. 11 days after egg retrieval I developed late OHSS, it lasted for about 2 weeks. I still think I have a little touch of it as I'm bloated still. They never discussed late OHSS with me. So it was a shock! X

Thanks for ur reply sun100 I have written my clinic they insist on a single transfer saying one is triggered after egg collection( which Is for tomorrow) nd the second type is more dangerous as if a woman is pregnant there is not much they can do to help.
