Actually in so much shock right now!! I’ve never had a BFP and this was our 5th transfer!!! Today is 13dp5dt, official test date is tomorrow but kept this morning’s wee to test this evening so we had time to digest the news without rushing to work. Now anxious that it won’t be there when we do the official test tomorrow morning. So sorry if this upsets everyone just wanted to share as everyone here has helped me so much through the negatives and the hard times. I know we have a long way to go but so happy and amazed to get here. Praying everyone gets their miracle xx

Congratulations! If u don’t mind me asking why did it take to 5th transfer to get a positive? What were your issues along the way? X

Thanks, I don’t mind you asking at all. We have always been unexplained and doctors have been telling us we make good 5 day blastocysts so it’s just a numbers game and hopefully one will stick. However the first 2 transfers I spotted really early and then continued spotting throughout the 2ww for transfer 3 we changed from pessaries to lubion and I didn’t have spotting so I think my progesterone levels may have been low. On this transfer 5 we also added in steroids and inhixia, so it could be down to those or it could have just been our time I think. Good luck with your journey and feel free to ask any questions xx

I’m unexplained to will be going for ivf/ICSI in jan. have ur progesterone levels always been low?? X

I’ve only ever had them tested at the GPs when we were first having our fertility tests and they were fine. Our IVF clinic doesn’t test progesterone anymore as they said they found no evidence that high progesterone = pregnancy and low doesn’t if that makes sense?xx

That does make sense.. did they give u a percentage rate of it working? And did u use Embryoscope? Sorry for asking so many questions. It’s just I’m going to have ivf in jan and like to hear other experiences xx

No problem at all, I was the same when I started and this forum is great for that. Nope no embryoscope, my clinic never offered it so don’t think they do it. I had to have a freeze all due to OHSS and they said they FET success rates vary but around 20% xx

Ok 😊 did u have full 5 ivf cycles or did u use fet? How many full cycles did you have? How many eggs were collected what is a good number? Xx

I’m still on my first cycle they have all been FETs I think numbers really vary I had 34 eggs collected but I was overstimulated so I don’t think that’s something they’d really aim for I think quality over quantity is good I had no real expectations for numbers going into it and wasn’t told what would be good xx
