IVF/Fertilty Acronyms

Hi, I’ve just discovered this network and finding it really useful and supportive. I recently fell pregnant on my first ivf attempt but unfortunately the pregnancy was ectopic so I had to have my Fallopian tube removed with the “pregnancy tissue”, as the medics call it, removed 😔. When I’m reading each post I see everyone uses a lot of acronyms and I don’t know what they stand for. Please could someone let me know any acronyms they use and what they stand for. Thank you! 😊

We also suffered a loss recently, our 5th transfer and 1st ever BFP. Hugs to you, hope you can get on your feet soon and feel ready to fight again!xx

I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s so amazing when you get the BFP but then it’s a constant worry that everything is ok and you convince yourself it is and try to relax and then it just comes back to bite you in the butt (polite way of putting it). I hope you are ok and staying as positive as you can. Xx

I don't think I was prepared for what it would be like to get a BFP after so many negatives, so amazing but a constant worry. However, we have hope going forward that it's a good sign we got pregnant even if the little one couldn't stick around.💔xx

Welcome and sorry for your loss we all share ur pain because once one of us hurt we r hurt. This group is not only a support group but also a family. Remember with time the hurt will reduce its hard for me to say go away because it's always hard to go tru infertility. I know u will get a lot of support here and also hope that ur day will soon cum again. Sending you lots of pray and warm hugs.❤❤❤
