Side effects of iron

So I've been taking iron tablets on the advice of my acupuncturist because he thought it would increase blood flow to.my uterus. Since slightly the start of the year I have been having a poorly tummy. It randomly starts hurting and then I need to use the loo. I have the runs and then am suddenly constipated. I first thought it was IBS due to the stress I'm.under but after doing some reading I think it might be the consequence of having too my iron in my system. I just wondered if anyone else has experience this? I'm having a blood test to check my iron levels today.

I remember taking iron tablets years ago and I literally thought I was going to vomit not long after taking them. Feeling stopped when I stopped taking them.

Someone recently told me that they were advised to take them and the doctor said you’ll know when you don’t need them anymore...your body reacts against them..sounds like yours might be too?

I take iron tablets and tmi but makes my 💩 dark I don’t know if u just have to get used to them if I get abit constipated I just stop taking them for a while.
