So after 4 embryos divided well and looks fab on Saturday at day 3 after EC, embryologist rand this morning to say that unusually 3 of them stopped growing, but we do have one thatβs turned into a blastocyst ready to transfer this afternoon.
I am disappointed but know it only takes one. Just got high hopes set on this one! So positive thoughts/ stories would be gladly welcome πππ»ππ» xx

Morning - weβve had similar news this morning, weβve gone from 6 on Day 3 to only 1 to transfer today. Some might still be growing but weβll have to wait and see. Itβs a rollercoaster, isnβt it? Hope your transfer goes well later. Weβre in at 2:30 xxx
It is a rollercoaster! Was on a high at the weekend.... now.. π but letβs keep faith!!! Hope your transfer goes well!! Let me know how you get on xx
Hey hun, sorry to hear you lost some embryos, but from day 3 to 5 embryos go through a massive change my embryologist has always said day 4 is when they lose the majority of embryos as unfortunately they all aren't strong enough to get past that massive hurdle. But I know the feeling my first round I went from 11 embryos...to just 1 average blastocyst on day 5. But hey hun you've got a blastocyst waiting to be reunited with you and that's fantastic! I remember being so sad when the embryologist told me just before my transfer that there was only 1 out of the 11 and she said be happy youve got a blast some couples cant even get to blast shes transferred many morula (stage just before blast) as that's all a couple has. So try and stay positive you only need 1! Best of luck for your transfer I dont know if you've ever had one before but it's a pretty amazing experience! π I will be thinking about you sending lots of baby dust your way! ππ£π xxx
Wow thank you so much for your uplifting and kind message. Itβs so interesting to hear what happens. It wasnβt meant to be with the others. Letβs hope this ember makes it!! β€οΈβ€οΈ
Iβll def have my tissues at the ready this afternoon π I looking forward to having it back where it belongs π
If it helps, I'm currently 35 weeks with our one and only 5 day blasto and will be being induced in 3 weeks so we finally get to meet her. It only takes one xx
After 5 cycles we always got quite a few embryos but hardly ever any blastocysts and never were any good enough to freeze. The last cycle we had one ok blastocyst and one not so good. The ok one is now sat in my arms and is 6 months old. Wishing you loads of luck xx
I had 18 follicles, 8 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilised with ICSI, only 1 blastocyst... sheβs gorgeous and healthy on the sofa demanding breakfast! Good luck π
