Requesting Copy of IVF Hospital Notes

Hi everyone

I was just wondering if anybody had experience with requesting copies of your NHS IVF notes from your hospital so you can pass them to a private clinic for treatment.

Does it take a long time?

We have had our last NHS cycle ending in BFN and now need to go private, but the clinic I have found says we need to provide a copy of notes before our appointment.

Thanks for help xxxxx

I called my hospital and got a copy made. I had to sign a consent form and pay around £30. Got them around 10 days later which I picked up. Good luck.xx

I had to pay £25 for the notes from IVF unit and £25 for the notes from gynae. I had received them within a week.

Thank you xx Hope they do it for me that quickly xx

I requested mine from the clinic we used for our three failed cycles. We are now private and they found them really helpful to work out a new plan. I had to put the request in writing and it took four weeks to get them but was free of charge. X

It’s much easier and quicker to get your notes now.

The new GDPR rules last year mean that they need to do it within a quicker timeframe and usually for free. (I work in a bank hence that Radom bit of knowledge).I got my GP notes in less than a week x
