I’m in shock! We have follicles....plural!

Scan this morning shows our 12mm grown to 16mm plus 2 more at 12mm and one at 9mm. We are in shock! It’s a minor miracle with an AMH of 1.4. Back in for another scan on Monday and hopefully egg collection on Wed. The change to long protocol has clearly done the trick! Beyond excited! Xx

That's amazing news! I never thought long protocol could be good for low amh but your result is excellent. Good luck for ec 🤞 🤞 :) ❤️

I’d been told short protocol was best for low AMH but it appears the experts don’t necessarily agree on this. Another fertility consultant told me that I should have better response with long protocol. I’ve a friend attending same clinic as me, she’s 31 with low AMH and she was put on long protocol whereas I was 38 with low AMH & they put me first on short. Due to NHS making an error on my first round, I was given a 2nd funded cycle. I’ve tried for 4 months to restart the short to no avail. Having spoken with 2 consultants who didn’t have much to offer other than donor eggs, it was a nurse that suggested trying the long and so here I am!
