Viability scan

Hello,

we had our seven week viability scan today. They said it was measuring small and should be 6-7mm and it was only 4mm. I’m booked in for another scan next week...so another week of waiting. I’m just really hoping there is some growth over the next week (it’s bringing back memories of my miscarriage as had to do the same then..come back a week later). Has anyone experienced this and it ended well?

Hello Italy16 , I didn't want to "read and run". I'm sorry you are going through this. I don't have similar experience but in my 7 week scan my consultant revised several times the size of my baby because it wasn't in a good position to measure. I really hope you get some good news in your next scan x

Thank you for your reply 😘xx

Hello

I have read, and was told by the scanner lady I went to too, that at these early stages measurements can easily be out by 5 days either way so in that case I would say don't worry, focus on your visualisations and hopefully they do a better scan for you next time xxx

Hey lovely in one of my early scans baby measured a week to small but the next ten days later it measured a day bigger and the last one three days bigger. They are so small it’s not always spot on accurate. Fingers crossed xxx

Hi, I’ve also heard early scans can be all over the place. With this pregnancy they put me a week back and then my second scan back to my lmp date. So fingers crossed all will be well for you also xx
