I’m on day 7 of stims (morning and evening now). Just now when I went to the toilet there was a lot of clear discharge when I wiped. I usually get this when I’m ovulating. I thought the stims were supposed to stop ovulation happening??
Am I right thinking I shouldn’t ovulate? I’m Worried my body isn’t reacting the way it’s supposed to. Has anyone else had this discharge?
It’s so confusing!

Hi, I had this as well and spoke to the clinic as I was concerned. It’s normal, it’s just your body’s response to the stims drug. Mine was due to be on such a high dose. It’s worrying as it’s like ovulation but don’t worry. It’s a normal response. Good luck xx
Hi, I had the same during stims. I think the stims meds are FSH which is the hormone that causes follicles to grow and production of cervical mucus. In a normal cycle we only produce FSH in the lead up to ovulation whereas on stims you're getting it earlier and at a higher dose (to get more eggs). Then another hormone - the LH surge causes the final 'ripening' for ovulation - this will be the trigger shot.
I had exactly the same thing happen last night and my worry was exactly the same! Panicking telling my boyfriend that I was worried that all my eggs had come out and immediately coming on here to search for similar stories! This IVF malarkey is going to send us all insane 🤪 xxx
Haha yes I feel the same. My boyfriend’s reaction to everything is ‘I’m sure it’s fine’ which is sweet but so unhelpful 😂 so I came straight here to find out from ladies who have been through this roller coaster journey too!
How many more days are you on stims? I have my scan Tuesday to see how well they’re working ... 🤞🏻 xx
Hehe! Yep, my boyfriend is pretty much the same, bless him! He’s just gone out to by my peppermint tea and ginger biscuits because I seemed to have had really bad nausea this time round 😕
I go in for egg collection tomorrow! I went for a scan on Wednesday and they told me to stim for a few more days and then yesterday they said my ovaries were very full, I did my trigger shot at 1.30 this morning so I’m hoping there’ll be lots of lovely eggs to collect tomorrow! Good luck for Tuesday sweetheart 😊💕🤞🏼 xxx
