Little worried today

So we tested again and after getting such a strong positive yesterday, we expected same or darker. We didn’t get that! It’s clearly lighter, maybe her urine wasn’t strong enough? Also I’ve been dipping the tests for 30 secs and they only need 5 secs? Don’t think that would affect it do you?

I think you lovelies need to step back from testing as you will drive yourselves insane. Having done this twice I understand the want to do it but the stress of a line not bring darker or being the same etc will do more harm than good. Go for a nice walk keep busy and try to wait. Bloods are the best way to know xxx good luck xxx

Not all clinics let you do bloods but I agree you should step back from the testing and test on the day your clinic has told you. I’m worried you’re giving yourselves heartache unnecessarily. If you are testing then you need to follow the test instructions exactly and don’t get too hung up on the darkness of the line, it will be affected by how dilute her urine is in any particular sample.

I agree with Snuggles - I'm assuming your otd isn't for a few days yet so it's time to stop testing and wait until then. My clinic never did bloods, I only ever did urine tests and I waited until otd on both ivf rounds and got a strong clear second line. Honestly, pregnancy is such a long wait and you have to be patient waiting for all the scans etc so it's best to get into the right mindset now.

Is she getting any other symptoms like cramping etc?

Urine concentration can vary a little but if your placing the stick within thenurine stream then it’s 5 seconds.

If it’s dipped in a bottle of urine it’s usually 20 seconds. You can check the instructions to be clear.

It’s still a positive either way so fingers crossed ☺️

When are you having your bloods? Only way to accurately check hcg and see if it doubles 48 hrs later. I was worried as my frer didn’t darken for a few days at all, worried it was another chemical pregnancy but it was absolutely fine. It’s hard not to get obsessive about testing but it’s still a positive so please try not to worry! It probably does negatively affect the test if you dip for way too long x
