Hello! I hope you’re all ok along this mental journey at the mo 💜💜
I’ve not been really about these past 4 weeks, think I struggled far more than I first thought with failed number 5, and let’s say I’ve been over indulging in all things naughty 🍷because hey I’m not pregnant AGAIN so why not?!!! I even bought non organic milk yesterday 😂😳😂
Anyway we will want to go again sooner rather than later with one of our Frosties but I think (I know) my body needs a bit of a detox, so do any of you lovelies know of a good one? Nothing that takes too long because I’ll get fed up of it!
Thank you lovelies
Xxxxx

I’m afraid I’m not really a fan of “diets” as they’re not very sustainable but like you I was rather indulgent after our mc in January!
So to get myself feeling back to normal, I’ve just been focussing on being “good” during the week - healthy breakfast (porridge, muesli etc.), salad for lunch (making it interesting with pomegranate seeds, feta, kale etc.) and a smaller portion for dinner. No snacks in between meals or in the evening unless it’s a banana, cucumber sticks etc. and no alcohol, and I’ve definitely felt much better for it.
I find that because I have the option of alcohol and snacks at the weekend, I find it easier to get through the week without them but actually by the time I get there because I’m proud of not having them during the week, I’ve managed to not overdo it! I give myself a green smiley face in my diary if I’ve had no snacks and a little red face if I do - and I find the visual representation very rewarding. Like a kid with gold stars ⭐️ 😂
Don’t know whether that’s helpful or not but either way - good luck! xXx
Thank you sweets! I have to say I don’t snack as I’m not a fan of sweet stuff, but my god coffee is my weakness, and a glass or two of wine!! I feel like my body is holding on to all the toxins from forever! I definitely could do with less bread and more salads, that’s a really easy win (as she sites here eating two slices of buttered toast for breakfast!)
Ah, chocolate is my forbidden fruit (and a gin & tonic)! I did overdo it on caffeine as well for a while but have also got myself going decaf from midday - it’s not the same but it’s my compromise! Supposedly that’s when we need to stop having caffeine in order for it to not impact on sleep at all.
Less bread and potatoes during the day has definitely made the difference for me too. I basically only ate marmite on toast when I was on sick leave! I do feel less sluggish and bloated now.
I’m really good thanks. Was so low for a month or two after the missed mc in mid Jan and ended up having some time off work but that and yoga have done me a world of good and am back to feeling like “me”. Only when I’m feeling positive can I face eating salads! Haha.
It sounds like you’re getting to there now as well having had some down time and tlc. I hope you’re doing ok and that feeling ready to detox is a sign that you’re at the next stage xXx
Remember the liver can completely repair itself in just one month so no need to go on a complete hardcore health kick. I think high protein and high greens, plenty of eggs, fish, nuts and fruit with loads of water and a bit of exercise is best. The odd glass of wine (or dessert) here or there especially red never did anyone any harm. Just do what makes you relax....... diets can be stressful and so counter productive.
When I told my doctor I was thinking of changing my toothpaste, shampoo etc she just laughed at me and said “there would never be any babies if those things were a problem, people write these silly books to make money and all they do is cause stress”. I think she’s right 😂
Thank you! I’ve done the extremes of following everything to the letter, including no nail varnish 😂 to thinking sod it and everything in between and nothing seems to make anything any better 🤦🏼♀️😕🤔I was just hoping there was a a short one week get my mind focused detox thingy!! There’s never a quick fix is there! X
Hi Aleelilook. Not really into detox, but this is my dietary advice if you want to take note. Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid and Vitamin D! Hope this helps and all the best with the next round of treatment. Diane
Thank you Diane, yep I pretty much do all of that, epic amounts of folic acid (I’m epileptic) and vit D, and all of the above! Any magic tricks for round 6 would be much appreciated!😂😂 xx
Good luck you to you. My last failed 4th round has took it out of me. I had understand how you feel. I haven’t had any wine but instead turned to slimming world. Trying to get fit.
Not sure about detox but I would eat healthy and little exercise.
