I was wondering if anyone is starting IVF in Glasgow (or anywhere else) soon? I have just had my first appointment today and there was so much info I am a little worried I didn’t pick it all up. We have a bunch of forms to fill in and have our follow up appointment in early May. Just wondering if anyone is going though the same thing at the mo?
Good luck everyone x

I’m at the royal too. 😁First appointment today was a lot of information and ‘Homework’ I will say the nurse spoke so fast because she said there was 18 patients and this clinic usually runs behind but she was very lovely. I did feel a little rushed, my advice would be to think of any questions and write them down before hand (feel a bit silly for not doing his) as I was so stunned windy all the information she was relating to me that I forgot all my questions!!good luck hun.x
I had what I thought was my first appt last month but got cancelled because of the snow. Turns out that was an appointment with gyn before they would officially put me on waiting list. Phoned today and now on list. Backdated my referral and so to phone Tuesday for appointment which is the paperwork one. Just wish I could fill in the forms and not have to wait another month. I’m not the most patient person in the world lol x
Glad to hear your now on the list, I felt I just wanted to be doing something. I remember thinking it would be ages before I got started but time went quickly good luck hun xx
Hey Cal1240, I'm starting IVF at GRI in May. They can be very busy and sometimes feel rushed, but they are all lovely. They will give you a plan of your ivf treatment to take with you so you don't need to remember it all.
It's a good idea to write questions down before hand. It was my husbands job to make sure we'd covered everything. But there is always things we forget, that's why this forum is great.
good luck with it all .we were arrested gri too and yes they are super busy.how long is wait list time now? we moved to nuffield after two unsuccessful attempts at gri and are now pregnant so here's hoping you be joining me soon xxx
We have just started the process in Edinburgh, daily injections started yesterday. There is a lot of info to take in but they give you info sheets at the start of each step to help and there is always the nurses there to explain everything. They always say if you have any concerns or questions just call them.
