I am 16 weeks 6 days pregnant and I get some weird leg pain . It’s like tingling, pulling and some weird feeling which I can’t sleep some nights. I get this when I have a long tired day . I just google to see the name of that and I see restless leg syndrome and all the symptoms matches me. Google also says some gets this on pregnancy , I never got that before . Any advice on this ??
Thanks

Hi luv2017. Quite a few ladies suffer with this during pregnancy. Can be due to position of baby pressing on nerves and blood supply to legs. Make sure you have had a blood test to check iron levels. Keep warm at night and exercise your legs during day. Google exercises in pregnancy. Sorry bout underlining, at home with my iPad who has chosen to do so. Hope it settles down and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Diane
Thanks Diane , I have my mid wife appointment today and will ask for that. I get only in left leg it’s really bothering me as I can’t drive . I am going to try keeping hot water bottle on my left leg . Thanks for that
Hi. That’s sounds more like position and nerve supply. You could try lying down and straight leg raising one at at time. See what midwife has to say. Good luck! Diane
Hiya I'm currently 12 weeks and I have terrible cramping in my legs already. I generally get restless legs anyway, it drives me crazy. Pre pregnancy I used to use magnesium oil which was brilliant but can't use it now as it has essential oils that are not recommended for pregnancy, but I have heard you can get magnesium oil which is safe for pregnant ladies. I would ask your midwife if they can advise on it before trying xx
I asked my midwife to check my iron and she says my iron level is fine . It was tested on my 7th week and now I am 16 week. So will it be the same ?& don’t know . I booked an appointment with my GP and going to ask for the blood test. Thanks for that
