First scan tomorrow, feeling a little poorly..

I’ve been doing my injections for three days, Forth this evening... they are going okish but struggling a little with pushing the syringe down.

I’m feeling a bit sick today on and off and also shivery. Is this normal? I’m drinking loads of water as I have pcos and have been warned about ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Worried I might be getting flu or something as everyone seems to have it. X

You poor thing, fingers crossed you’re not coming down with something. Rest up, stay warm and keep drinking your water. You’re getting through those injections rightly, well done. Hoping all goes well at your scan tomorrow x

Thanks very much, I am finding the whole process daunting. I am also staying at my Mum’s house throughout as she lives so much closer to the clinic. Therefore I am only seeing my fiancé once or twice a week throughout this as he has to be at work miles away. Hoping so much this goes well!

It is completely daunting, I totally get that. I’m sure you are missing your fiancé very much, it must be difficult being apart. Hopefully though this will all have been worthwhile. Rest up and take care 😘

Thank you. I am on Merional and Fostimon injections. I’ve just started cetrotide injections as well.

Hey Alicefff! I hope you're doing fine! Hopefully everything will go fine. Since you have PCOS, your sickness might be due to that specifically if you're having headaches and high blood pressure.Taking care of your diet is exceptionally important. Low-carbohydrate diets and a low glycemic index are two things that you should definitely be looking into. Eat lots of fruits and vegetations. Also, try following exercises which are suitable for you at this stage. As you've mentioned that you're being warned regarding OHSS! That usually happens due to fertility medication. They symptoms include abdominal bloating and, nausea, diarrhea, and slight weight gain. Therefore, if you do have these symptoms i would suggest you straight away visit your doctor. The medication you are using might be also one of the reasons why you're feeling sick. Best of luck your scan!

Thanks so much for the info. I do think the sickness is linked to the medication as it hasn’t turned into a cold or anything. I am a veggie so I eat lots of fruit and veg anyway and due to the fact I have endometriosis, I stay away from bread and pasta as it bloats me badly. I spoke to the nurse yesterday and she also recommended lots of protein in my diet so I’m going to make more effort to include protein in my meals. My scan went ok, I still have a cyst on one of my ovaries but the bloods confirm it’s not realeasing any hormones... yet!

Not what you're looking for?
