Just want to know if any one has used a sperm donor before. I have notice and heard a lot about egg donor. My husband and I think it's for the best if we use one as he a has low sperm count abnormal as Well. Just really scared. Hoping the hospital will listen to us. Or how do we go about suggestion it. X

Sorry to say but I can’t help with advice on a sperm donor but there are lots of ladies on here who can. Have you both spoken to a fertility specialist? Maybe ICSI is an option for you? Wishing you the best of luck which ever route you go down xx

My hubby has a low sperm count but they got enough to fertilise the eggs imdividually using ICSI, where they inject each egg with one sperm. We have friends that used a sperm donor due to the fact her hubby wasn't producing any sperm at all. Have a chat with your clinic and see if they think it's necessary, I'm sure they'll keep you right!xx

Hi Bpmr, we have used donor sperm for our three cycles of treatment, due to my partner having had chemotherapy at a young age, we had no alternative. I don’t know how you go about requesting it, as it was our only option so that’s what the clinic proposed. We are members of the Donor Contraception Network and there is loads of information on there which may be helpful. Just so you know, although we had three attempts I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant so it massively helped us. Xx
