Hello lovely ladies. I hope you are all okay today. I just found this on the HFEA website. Seems there is mounting evidence for most IVF add ons but and not for all.
There's been some discussions on this forum about time lapse / embryoscope, and embryo glue. Apparently the evidence so far is promising, so I thought I would share.
The add ons are rated with a red (little evidence) or yellow (growing body of evidence that the add on works).. Most are actually listed as yellow, which is reassuring.
Very interesting. We opted for time lapse imaging (first round) and for all three rounds the embryo glue. The last two rounds I've had the endo scratch too. I'm relieved to see there's some evidence that these things help xx
Thanks for posting. I was waiting for this to come out. It's such a minefield, so hard to decide what to try and what to stay away from. I'm still kind of unsure on the reproductive immunology treatments though...after three miscarriages I've done tons of research and I really do think there might be something in it. Obviously it's so hard to know but RCT's need to have a least 700 participants before they are considered 'evidence' and my consultant at the recurrent miscarriage clinic is working on getting these numbers in her research. So, it is hard to know categorically what works and what doesn't! It's horrid when you are so vulnerable and scared that you feel like you want to clutch at any available straw!
I was thinking exactly the same about the immunology. I have bad endo and there are endocrinologists out there who believe we need additional help, due to increased NK cells and other issues.
