So that's my transfer done. A grade AB blastocyst is on board. Now I'm not entirely sure what that grade means so if anyone knows a little more please do let me know. He said it was lovely looking though.

Hey Amanda welcome to the TWW! Im no expert but my embryologist said they grade the embryos with two letters from C to A and a number from 1 to 6 and they mean different things depending on how many cell there are to fluid and what stage the embryo is at so for example mine was BB6 so AB sounds almost perfect to me so congrats! did you freeze any? good luck keeping sain for the next two weeks im not sure im managing it haha
Hi Amanda, like you we had a grade AB transfer 6 days ago. From what I gathered it's something to do with the cells development on the outside and the middle of the blastocyst and their quality. They told us an AB was a good one so fingers crossed for us both X
Good luck Hun. I have no idea what the grading means either. I did ask this question during my last appointment and the nurse said my embryos are good quality and they will transfer the best one. I thought that was very vague. Anyway wishing you all the best my love. I have mine next Thursday. Then the dreaded 2ww. Xx
Congratulations, girl! My best friend had her son by this method. For her it worked at first, although nerves hardly let her act. Summarizing, A and AB blastocytes mean that they are of good quality. When they reach CC, it is when they can not be transferred. Most pregnancies occur on this scale. My friend had it and her son is beautiful.
