Hey Everyone: Hi there i'm new to this... - Fertility Network UK
Hey Everyone
Hi Lindsay - best of luck with your journey. This site has been amazing for me, I'm sure you will find answers to most of your questions here and lots of support x x x
Aww excellent thank you MommaBear16. I am looking forward to it now but still quite scared too, I hope a don't wait too long they said 8 month waiting list be we have been on it from Feb. What about yourself? I'm so glad I found this page x x
Hi Lindsay,
Welcome to the group. I was referred to Guys Feb this year and currently on the pill as I have PCOS. My injections arrived today and my next appointment is on 24th. Everything has been really quick from my first appointment at Guys on 4th April. This forum is good for questions and general reassurance. Everyone here understands which helps. Wish you the best xx
Hello Lindsay89 do you have a diagnosis and is it IVF you are doing? Happy to share my experience but yours will be individual. We went into it hugely optimistic which I feel was our downfall as it sometimes takes several attempts, but our clinic were giving us lots and lots of positive messages. As MommaBear16 says you'll get answers & support here 💗
Hi Hope28 my tubes are blocked but not fully blocked, but we are starting our treatment for ivf I am scared but also looking forward to it. What about you? Thanks for your support Hope28 xx
Well I always think it's better to know something! We have unexplained infertility which they tell me is a diagnosis but clearly it tells us nothing! We have been trying for 8 years or so and just assumed IVF would work.
It sounds like if you bypass the need for your tubes (!) it should stick!!
The nurses will take you through it step by step, remember to take each day as it comes & book a week off after your egg collection - no thoughts or worries about work are necessary or helpful xx
We have been trying for 3 years and nothing was happening so we decided to go to my GP. We have attended Monklands Hospital several times, and now we have be transferred to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for the start of our treatment process. Have you completed your treatment or still going through it. Thanks Hope xxx
Ahh we are with Edinburgh Royal Infirmary!! We only started last Sept I had a chemical preg then jumped into FET after new year which I felt really pessimistic about and it completely failed. We are supposed to be going back when my period arrives. It's two days overdue, which is no surprise I guess after you've pumped your body with synthetic hormones 😕 I would recommend counselling if it's on offer it's quite an emotional journey and it's definitely helped me! All the best! Xx
Aw hope you get on ok and your period come so you can start treatment..it's a long time but it will be worth it when we get the news we all want. I will be taking the week off as you said so I can rest and get good results. I hope everything works out for you and your partner x x
Thank you! It's here today so I'll need to make a decision whether to try this month or wait ... Good luck you too x
