Test date, evap???

So today is my test date. Instantly came up with the negative line so I walked away as I couldn't bare seeing it. I didn't give the test the 3 minutes.

My hubby bought the test to me with a faint positive. This was about 10 minutes later. Possibly evap line???

I don't know, I thought the line stays coloured once it's positive. Try testing again tomorrow morning - no point testing later today if it's faint as it won't be picked up. Maybe the digital test would be good as you can't question that?

Oh just re read your post. All tests will come up with the negative line straight away. The positive line does take a few minutes to appear unless you're a little further along and the hormone is strong in your system. I would cautiously say it's a positive result but give it a day or two and retest.

I did have grade 3bb and 3cb blastocysts put back so we were thinking it may take a little longer to show up on a test as they may have taken a little longer to implant.

I called the clinic and and they advice they'd take it as a positive and to test again in a week. A whole week!!😯

I did a test that I had spare from last round of ivf and that was very faint line on Sunday. The line today is progressively darker than Sunday too.

I'm going to do a test in a couple of days and wait the time, lol. Just so heartbreaking seeing the negative tests that I don't even believe it if it is a positive.

I would test in a few days and again in a week, like you say. Otherwise you'll do your head on over the next week!

I've been in the situation before where I got a faint line in the morning at 4 weeks pregnant and then went to the doctor to confirm but I didn't have morning urine for her sample so it was already reading negative on the doctor's test! She said to retest in a week and sure enough it was positive. A lot of the time it won't be picked up properly until 5 weeks pregnant.

I don't think it's possible to get a false positive result, only false negatives so congratulations!

Oh yes I'm already googling like a mad woman and looking for a logical reason why it would show that than the obvious reason. Got accupuncture today so will chill out a bit after that 😂

It's just like it's your body teasing your mind. Doesn't help I'm off work atm. Need to keep busy for a couple of days before I poas or get a blood test done.

Bet that was a little heart breaking with the doctors test. That week must have been the longest week ever for you! Congrats on your positive though ☺

Thanks for the response and I'll post how i get on x x

Like Tlove has said, the control line comes up immediately to show its working and the result line takes a few minutes. A faint line will still have some colour in it, an evap line as far as I'm aware is grey or silvery and doesn't have colour. Speak to your clinic, email them a picture of the test if necessary - they will probably tell you a line is a line so....looks like it could be good news 😃 But understand you being confused and not wanting to start celebrating quite yet until you're sure. Good luck Hun. Am rooting for you xx

Hi I'd say it was a positive at this point as well. Is there somewhere you can go to get a blood test? I know a company called thisismy do them for £50 & it would give you a definite answer.

I also read that male embryos cause HCG levels to rise slower which means you dont get a positive as soon... could be blue in your future! fingers crossed xx

I did think about asking gp for blood test to check hcg levels or even asking the clinic. In my last 2 ivf attempt af had arrived by now or could feel her on her way.

I'm type 1 diabetic too so I need to watch things very closely as we all do in this journey.

Hahaha I've been told by a medium that I'd have boys. I know it's not the most reliable source and just a bit of fun but they've all said boys so could be true! x x

I think given your a diabetic I would go to the docs & ask them to do a hcg, they'll probably want to just do a urine test but push them with the sympathy vote! I've got everything crossed for you x

Ask for a beta blood test. I had mine the day after my (admittedly strong line) positive and because I'm still bleeding quite a bit despite a decent HCG I'm having another one tomorrow, so hopefully there might be some room to do one for you. Don't ask don't get I say!

I did another test this morning as I couldn't help myself and I timed it with the stop clock on my phone 😂😂😂

There was a faint positive on there. So there is something there.

Booked in for a blood test tomorrow morning to get it confirmed. It was a little difficult to get one but managed to get me in 😀 Just hope I get the results this week and hope it doesn't go into next week 😯

Hope all goes well with your blood test sad_panda.good luck 🍀🍀🍀

I think the results of the blood test are available same day but they may ask you back after 48 hours to confirm the hormone is doubling. Good luck!

Hi Soapsuds86. Just hoping that all remains positive for you. Any doubts then request a beta hCG blood test to confirm. Good luck! Diane

Just thought I'd give an update.

So I had my hsg blood test which confirmed pregnancy and I had it repeated 3 days later due to the weekend. It had an increase of 66%.

On weds I had extreme pains in my side and right lower back and pelvic area. It was that bad I had a paramedic look at who stated he would say it's sciatica and made me an emergency appointment to the gp.

Got to the gp and i was keeled over in pain so he sent for an ambulance to take me to hospital.had a horrible night in so much pain I screamed the ward down! Was finally given morphine and gas and air so I could settle for the night.

Their concern was it is an eptopic pregnancy as my blood pressure is low too and I was being sick.

The pain has calmed down but still comes unexpectedly. I'm now being treated for moderate ohss and pregnancy of no location. I had a scan done and they couldn't find a pregnancy buy I'm only 6 weeks by my calculations so it would be too soon anyway. They saw my ovaries were huge so put it to ohss.

Had bloods done too and my hsg is dropping too. They may discharge me today but got to wait and see.

Just so scared my dream is vanishing.
