Hi, congratulations!!!! that's amazing so happy for you. The progesterone pessary can't give you a false reading so you are indeed pregnant! I think the hcg trigger shot can give a false reading if you test too early but that would be well out of your system by now. I also crumbled and tested early too on wed I got a faint line and tested again today and it was a dark line I'm not due to test until Monday so I got a positive too. I'm a bag of nerves though analysing every cramp and twitch. This is my first positive iv'e had from a fresh cycle this is my third fresh transfer my others have been frozen so hoping this is a good sign and it's going to continue. Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy :) xx

Wow that's wonderful news!!! 11 days to on until my test day.....analysing every twinge and twitch too!!! I'm on gestone injections and they are making me bloating and constipated which isn't helping!!! Been out walking instead of the normal spinning and gym sessions to try to keep my mind occupied!!!! Good luck with everything xx

After you get a positive result are you suppost to carry on useing the pesseries?

Hi, you'd be best to phone your clinic just to be safe as maybe they do things different from mine! I was given crinone 8% progesterone vaginal gel to take on the evening of day of egg collection and take one in the morning last one being today which is test day so I was given 20 in total to take, this is how my clinic does a fresh cycle. It's totally different with a frozen one you have to take cyclogest 400mg progesterone pessaries two a day for 12 weeks then your body will take over. x

Hi thanks Shirley. I was told I could only have one transfered with it being my 1st time.. but I suppose different hospitals have different rules. If you had a choice how many would you prefer.. I will keeo you posted with my progress iknow Ill have another appointment made for 3 weeks time. And then I think after that im referred back to my gp and local hosp..:-)

Congratulations to you both, we have had a few positives recently, for first timers and people going through their 2nd/3rd/4th cycles so it can happen which gives us all a little hope. I hope your pregnancies progress perfectly for both of you and keep us updated xx

Congratulations I'm soooo happy for you. I had my transfer yesterday. Did you have complete bed rest or did you do light activities. The doctors didn't advise me on what I should do

in reply tomii123

Hi hun thanks were really chuffed. After transfer I relaxed a home on the couch and my hubby sorted tea etc. I took the next day off work just relaxing felt really bloated.. went back to work the day after on light duties.. still done the washing etc at home.. I think it depends on how you feel tho.. I would have gone off my head sat about at home whilst waiting to test. I found distracting being at work but I still got emotional now and again.. it cant be helped.. whens your test date.. fingers crossed for you xx

hi sum1sweeta. Great news! As a general rule, you should keep up with the progesterone for up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. obviously, your clinic will tell you their recommendations. happy pregnancy! Diane

in reply toDianeArnold

Hi diane. I thought that aswell.. I spoke to the nurse she asked me if my transfer was fresh or frozen and said I can take my last pesserie today im hopeing that dosnt effect anything :-)

Hi sum1sweeta. Good to hear that you have a date for your first scan. Remember to rest as much as you can for a bit as you are naturally going to feel quite tired. All good to go! Diane

in reply toDianeArnold

I will rest as I feel drained.. I counted from day egg fertilised until today is that how many days pregnant I am? X

Hi. I was always taught that you calculated the weeks from embryo transfer, when it is assumed that you are already two weeks pregnant. Hope this helps with your calculations, although you will have to wait until your scan for a definite sizing of “junior”. Diane

Ok thanks x
