IVF egg retrieval

hi, I have PCOS and have excess hair growth on my face😔. I’ve received a letter to start my IVF treatment in October and just wondering are you able to keep your make up on during the egg retrieval as this is something I’m very anxious about.

Hi @ivf2023 my instructions were to have no make up or use strong smelling deodorant or creams and no jewellery. It might be something you can discuss with your clinic. I didn't manage to get all of my jewellery off as some of my piercings just aren't made to be removed and they were OK with that but it was only 2 or 3 small piercings nowhere near where they were going to be. Give them a wee call or email and you will have time to think about their response either way. Hope it goes well!

Try asking for their permission. I'm sure they will be fine with it. Did you have it already? How did it go?

I asked when I was there on Monday for tests and the woman said she doesn’t see any problem with it Aslong as it’s not scented but to maybe wear less make up. My consultation is at the end of October and I should start shortly after! Thank you!
