IVF and alcohol

IVF and alcohol... did you and hubby give up alcohol before ivf treatment? If so, how long before it started? Just looking for some people’s opinions/experiences on this, we’re not regular drinkers but when we do we have a few

Hello, I have given up alcohol overall but my hubby did not as he had a sperm retrieval and they had enough sperm for 6 cycles. We are doing ICSI because my husband had a vasectomy many years ago. He is drinking a lot less though...

I had a 1st cycle last year which was unsuccessful. Currently going through 3 cycles of embryo banking because of my age. I am currently doing stims for my second cycle and just before my last period, I had a night of drinking whisky which I regretted the next day. So far it does not seem to have made a massive difference but I will know more once EC is done which will probably be next week.

We both stopped drinking around 3 months before we started our cycle. Had the odd occasion where we have one but being in Covid/ lockdown made it much easier. I wouldn’t of thought the odd glass will be detrimental but cutting back will help sperm quality and things.

Had a freeze all and my husband was straight back on the beer after he did his part 😂

Hi, we both did... I think diet is playing very important part in IVF, you want to give yourself the best chance possible. We even cut on caffeine. Best of luck xx
