16 week appointment

I had my 16 weeks appointment yesterday and another one on Thursday with the community midwife can they detect the gender by listening to the heartbeat?

Unfortunately no they cant. All those wives tales about heartbeat predicting gender are just that...wives tales. They say anything anything under 140 is suppose to be a boy and anything over 140 is a girl. My babys heartbeat is always around 150 and I'm having a boy. Book a scan in a week or 2 and you can find out that way. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly xx
