Fertility diet
Hi there, have you read 'it starts with the egg' I would really recommend it for help with preparation for fertility treatment.
With regards to diet, they say the Mediterranean diet is best, so..
Oily fish, nuts and seeds, cut sugar out, and processed foods. 2 portions of fruit a day no more, plenty of veg, no potatoes.
Cut your carbs where you can and when you do have them choose slow release, so brown rice, quinoa, wholegrain and pulses, organic where you can.
Good luck x
Diet, rather appropriate diet with balanced micronutrients has the ability to improve any physiological conditions. Firstly, it's important to add a teaspoonful honey to begin the day with... that boosts your immunity and health. The breakfast needs to be heavy and preferably with eggs and whole grains. You should balance with the appropriate amount of proteins and fibers. Minimum 10 grams of fibre in necessary per day, it reduces 44% lower risk of ovulatory infertility. Reduce carbohydrates intake and it's even better to switch to refined carbohydrates. Don't cut down the fats but have to eliminate the vegetable oils and are usually present in some margarine, fried foods, processed products. Multivitamins, folate and zinc supplements are also very helpful in boosting fertility. Whether you really have infertility issue or just want to boost your chances in natural TTC the diet can accentuate both.
