I have so many questions and I have no idea where to start.
My husband and I've been trying to get pregnant for a couple years now and I dont believe is gonna happen naturally at this point. I'm 36 and he is 40, so I dont want to keep waiting for a miracle.
Now, I work from home for the state of New Jersey but I live in Florida. And the way my insurance work ( hmo clause) is that it will cover any fertility treatment is in New jersey not in florida.
I dont know how the whole process work or if it safe going back and forth within 2 different states. Can anyone can describe me their experience, how many visits were they for one round, did they also monitored your pregnancy, should I stay in New jersey until I confirm any pregnancy, what kind of testing were they, etc. Also, I'm all ears of any other alternatives, recommendations, guidence, anything!!
Thank you in advance

Spooky huh! I just read your post in the A&D community. I don’t know anything much about IVF but I have got views I’d like to share with you. So here goes.
I believe that like some animals we don’t allow our fearful bodies to get pregnant. When I was suffering my worst anxiety and depression even my periods stopped for several months.
You don’t mention any physical reason for not getting pregnant, but you are in a much healthier place mentally.
Miracles do happen and may well happen for you before you get going with IVF. Of course I would not discourage you from taking that route and I wish you success.
Footnote: I had my beautiful boy at 37 and my also beautiful daughter at 40.
Someone told me that having children later in life keeps you young. Thankfully she was right 🤗
Thank you for your response. My OBGYN told me in the past that anxiety is the most effective birth control. I havent been deeply checked for fertility but they found that my prolactin hormone was a little high. They recheck my blood 3 more times and the third time the levels were normal and he concluded that the levels could've been affected by high stress. My husband is a little anxious too and they found that his sperm count was a little low and morphology was abnormal, and that is why we were sent to a fertility specialist. My therapist at that time told me that I should be in a better place mentally before getting pregnant and pregnancy could exacerbate my anxiety and that is why I've been working on my health first and choose not to take antianxiety drugs as they could lead to infertility.
IVF is not a definitive choice, that is why we are consulting a fertility specialist first to learn about our choices and that is why I'd like to hear other people's experience ( that is my anxiety asking about the future LOL)
My appointment is in November and I'm still trying naturally so ...fingers crossed♡♡♡
