I’m dreading having to see my doc tomorrow after a failed ivf cycle.. now I’m still bleeding from my chemical pregnancy. I just feel like my doc is just going thru the motions and are not giving me solutions. Feeling so alone, depressed and clueless on what to do next.

Urgh! The dreaded doc’s appt after failed ivf
I hope it has gone ok for you. I have just had a negative pregnancy test after my first round of IVF. Have one embryo frozen so we are going to go straight into FET cycle.
We had an ectopic after a few months of trying last year. Diagnosed with endometriosis. My right tube looked ok on dye test. My AMH is a little low at 9.4. I’m 33. My husbands sperm is on the low side so we did half ICSI half IVF. Everyone around me is pregnant. It’s so painful!!
I’m sorry you feel so low! Have you got any frozen embryos?
I’m 33 too, and yeah.. everyone around me is either pregnant or have kid(s) already. I have 2 frozen embryos left. Had an ectopic before and removed 1 tube, my other tube is not the healthiest as it has scar tissue so conceiving naturally is a challenge, Now, it seems like ivf is also a challenge for me. Sigh.
I also did ICSI and IVF in my recent cycle.
U only found out about endometriosis after your ectopic?
Yes, I caught pregnant really quick. I had very few other symptoms but they all seem to have reared their head since!! Have you got a good AMH? I’m wondering whether I need a laparoscopy has I have some endometriomas. They managed to bypass these for the IVF. I’m going to discuss this with a gynaecologist. We have very similar stories which really helps 😁
Endometriosis is very painful right? I’ve a friend who has it and she’s always in pain, at least once a month. I also read that some ladies will go through laparoscopy first before proceeding with ivf. Maybe that’ll help?
So far, my amh levels are in the normal range. the issue I may have is chromosome abnormalities in my eggs. I didn’t get them pgs tested in my last cycle so I won’t know but that’s what the doc suspected. I suppose I’ll need to fork out more 💰 for pgs testing in my next fresh cycle (in the event that this coming FET fails). infertility’s so expensive! 😔
Yes I think it may help so I will discuss with the specialist. I get a bit of pain each month but nothing horrendous. Generally i am ok.
It is so so expensive!! How do you know about the chromosomal abnormality?
Then you’re lucky, some women have very bad cramps.
I didn’t, the doc only suspect they’re abnormal coz I have had 2 chemical pregnancies and 3 failed transfers even though my egg quality and uterine lining r fine.
What I learned is that even though the egg quality is considered good, it does not mean that they’re chromosomally normal. Doc said that only way to determine if they’re good quality egg is to go for pgs which will cost about $6k in Singapore.
Are u from the 🇬🇧? Are there any healthcare assistance by the government for fertility treatments in your country?
