Coq10

Hi everyone

I'm about to start my 2nd round of ivf and a friend has recommended the supplement coq10

Has anyone tried it and been successful during ivf?

I didn't use it last time but my friend did and was successful

I took it for the first time during my last cycle and got a BFP 3 weeks ago. I think it definitely improved my egg quality, 4 out of 6 embryos were too quality blastocyst x

When did you start taking it? I'm due to start injections in one week and I'm worried I've left it too late

Last cycle I had 5 eggs all fertilised, one top quality but it didn't take after 3 day transfer and the rest were not good enough to freeze. Last cycle I wasn't on the coq10, I assumed the poor quality was due to being on prostap for 3 months prior for endometriosis

I only started taking it a couple of weeks before I started my injections - I know some people say you should take it months before but like I said it definitely seemed to help. I took 100mg as I've never been told I have a problem with egg quality - my last cycle I still got a good number of embryos just not as good quality, I mainly took it as an extra. Good luck!

I’ve started taking this too think it can have quite an immediate effect I have bought 200mg but I’ve read posts saying you can take up to 600 per day so might be worth upping it a bit? Good luck xx
