Amh low at 2.45 I'm 40 in October and told my chances of conceiving are 16% and Ivf has destroyed my egg reserve by overstimulation.

So. I saw a private gynaecologist. My amh is low even in the 40_44 age group. I'm not 40 till October.

Apparently all the 4 Ivf overstimulation has negativity impacted my ovarian reserve.

If i were to go private I'd have to be donated ovules.

I am supposed to have a last try.

He advised to slow down the simulation. Instead of doing 12 intense days do approx 20 days on a lower dose. Get less eggs, better quality.

Do half Ivf half Isis freeze all and implant 3 months later.

Or try on my own getting naturally pregnant twice in 6 months.

I'm in a quandary.

Where do i find the strength?

I don't know if i can do this again?

Ivf is horrid

Miscarriage is devastating

Even the stray cats are pregnant.... Why not me???????

Hello, Miraclebeliever. I just saw your post.... I don't think this forum (MamaBe) is a well used network... there's another forum on this website called fertility network uk - which lots of women get help from each other.

What an awful situation for you to be in. Have you got a good support network around you? (Apart from the stray cats...)

I think if there's a way of trying to get better quality eggs - you should try it... but if you can. It's a big deal this IVF stuff and it's draining! And it's always easier said when people say 'take some time off'.

How quickly can they move with a new cycle? If you didn't do this cycle how long until the alternative option?

Hey

We've done 4 cycles, first canceled for overstimulation, 2nd 16 eggs, 15 fertilised, only 2 poor quality made it to day 3.

Cycle 3 got 8 all fertilised, frozen. Defrosted, poor quality.

Cycle 4 find out pregnant 2 days before egg collection. Pregnancy not viable.

Took 6 months off to try, got pregnant, didn't work out.

I'm lucky in Spain to have this last try. Before I'm 40 in October!

Guess it's more or never, ready or not

Tried acupuncture, supplements, everything.

If this time fails might consider donation eggs.

Don't really know what i should do, just know i need a plan. To move forward.

Having a plan really helps. It's a sense of focus that I found I needed. Can't imagine what you're going through

Can you go by to your doctor and talk through all your options again? Would he recommend one over another? x

Hi, I am sorry you are going through this. Have you considered undergoing ivf with pgs ngs? Firstly, cos of your advanced maternity age (sorry). Secondly, cos of yr mcs.
