Just curious if anyone else has any changes in this area since their diagnosis with FLD?

Bowel issues

Yes! For years before the diagnosis. But I’m happy to report that 10 months of eating healthy and I can see major improvements. Give your body the nutrients it needs and it will try to repair itself. It may never be brand new again but it will be better.
That's so good to hear. It's very difficult to eat healthy in this environment we live in. I'm doing better but I want to eat as healthy as possible. I'm beginning to think the only option is to start cooking/grilling my own meals and make larger portions to last longer. This is the direction I'm leading in. It's the only way for me to feel like I'm fighting....
Yes. You have to control all your inputs. Not only for weight management but to also ensure adequate nutrition and minimize toxins.
I recommend a scale in the kitchen and some sort of software application to track all your intake. Eating out can be possible but on rare occasions when you plan properly to ensure proper nutrition for the day and of course, no more over indulging.
What software do you use to track with?
I use Nutritionix Track. I can’t say enough good things about it. You can even track your weight, sodium, water, exercise, and even store recipes on it. The tool is amazing. You should get a small digital scale for your kitchen as well.
Using the tracker and a scale will transform your life. It is really eye opening to see what we are actually eating in a complete snapshot. Best of luck and please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
yes and its awful.... keeps changing too. I dare not take anything in case it just makes it worse.
Yes. I have cirrhosis and eat healthy , mediterranean diet. But if I don't get in enough water, or have too many carbs, or my body just decides it wants to play that day...then I have issues. It has taken me a bit to navigate..but one day at a time.
